Registered Social Worker RSW, MSW

Life can sometimes feel like a never-ending uphill battle. You may wrestle with feelings that things will never change, or find it hard just getting through each day. To me every story is unique, and every challenge deserves its own tailored approach. The issues that are affecting your life can manifest in various ways – anxiety, mood disorders, depression, relationship issues, grief, or even feelings of low self-worth. This can be incredibly difficult, not only on the individual but on those around them. The foundation of my therapeutic approach is building a genuine connection. It’s imperative for me to offer a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space where you feel heard, safe and valued. With dual designations as a Registered Social Worker and a Registered Psychotherapist – and an advanced diploma in child and youth work – I bring a wealth of education, experience and knowledge to our sessions. I believe each individual is unique, so I shape my approach to each client’s individual needs, drawing from therapeutic modalities such as; Trauma-Informed Approach, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). For couples, I utilize the insights and techniques of the Gottman Method. But most importantly, I believe in you as the expert of your experience. Therefore, I always bring forth a strength-based and person-centered approach, placing you at the heart of the healing journey. Embarking on therapy can not only offer comfort and relief during tough times but can also be a transformative journey toward self-discovery, understanding, and development. When we partner together, the objective is not just to navigate the immediate challenges but to equip you with the tools and insights to lead a fulfilling life, filled with self-acceptance and compassion.
